Major conference for Parkinson's patients in B.C. Parkinson's: Moving Forward
Vancouver, BC - On October 29, 30, 31, 2010, Parkinson Society British Columbia (PSBC) will host its second major conference for individuals with Parkinson's, their carepartners, family members, and healthcare professionals.

Super Results for Parkinson SuperWalk in BC
Vancouver, BC - Hundreds of British Columbians in Kamloops, Kelowna, Parksville, Prince George, Campbell River, Fort St. John, Fruitvale and Vancouver participated in the 15th annual Parkinson SuperWalk to raise funds for a cure and support programs provided by Parkinson Society British Columbia.

Former Pittsburgh Steelers Punter, Mitch Berger,Walks for a Cure for Parkinson's
Vancouver, BC - Parkinson Society British Columbia is proud to announce that Mitch Berger, former punter for the Pittsburgh Steelers football team, will walk for a cure in the 15th annual Parkinson SuperWalk taking place in Vancouver on Sunday, September 12th at Ceperley Playground in Stanley Park.

Parkinson SuperWalk - Thousands lace up for a cure for Parkinson's Disease
Vancouver, BC - The 15th annual Parkinson SuperWalk will be held in 11 communities in British Columbia this year to raise funds for a cure and to provide support services for people living with Parkinson's in the province.

Vancouver, BC - Parkinson Society British Columbia is proud to announce that $93,000 was raised by the Just Giver for Parkinson's Team in the 5th annual Just Giver for Parkinson's tour, a 1,300 km ride through Whistler, Lillooet, Kamloops, Salmon Arm, Kelowna, Osoyoos, Westbank, Merritt and Hope.

Golfers Swing for Parkinson's
Vancouver, BC - Parkinson Society British Columbia is proud to announce that for the third consecutive year, Me-n-Ed's Pizza restaurants in Port Coquitlam and Coquitlam have successfully raised $18,000 at their golf tournament in Maple Ridge.

Pedal for Parkinson's
Vancouver, BC - On Saturday, June 19th, William Cope, age 20, his father Bruce Cope, who has Parkinson's disease, and friend Wayne Newport, will leave Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island to start their long cycling journey to Ottawa to raise money for Parkinson's research and services provided by Parkinson Society British Columbia.

Vancouver, BC - For 11,000 individuals in British Columbia, the word freeze means that they come to a sudden stop and are no longer able to move forward. This is one of the many symptoms of Parkinson's.
