Regional Educational Meetings
One of the primary goals of PSBC is to provide up-to-date information on topics such as adapting to new diagnosis, medication, surgical treatment of Parkinson's and effective complementary therapies such as nutrition, exercise and coping strategies. At an educational meeting, held in various areas of the province, an expert healthcare professional is invited to give a presentation on a specific topic with ample time for questions from the audience.

Conferences
Parkinson Society British Columbia holds a major provincial conference bi-annually (alternating with Regional Education Meetings). Experts from Canada and the US make presentations on leading edge topics relating to Parkinson's disease, such as research findings, new medications and other treatments, later stage Parkinson's and other important topics.

New Diagnosis Day
This is a one-day event held bi-annually. The day is specifically for those individuals and their caregivers who are new to Parkinson's and have been diagnosed for less than two years. There are a variety of speakers who will discuss topics such as Parkinson's 101, understanding your diagnosis, coping with the illness, treatment options, self-help modalities, research and Parkinson's and the family.
