16th Annual Parkinson SuperWalk a Success!
Vancouver, BC -The 16th annual Parkinson SuperWalk held last weekend in 13 communities across BC raised $285,000 for research and support programs provided by Parkinson Society British Columbia (PSBC) to the 11,000 individuals who live with Parkinson's disease in the province.

Parkinson SuperWalk 2011 Celebrates Victory over Adversity
On Sunday, September 11th in Stanley Park/Ceperley Playground, Vancouver will host Parkinson SuperWalk to raise funds for a cure and support services provided by Parkinson Society British Columbia (PSBC) for 11,000 individuals living with Parkinson's in this province.

70-year-old John Crouch arrives in Victoria after cycling 2,517k from Whitehorse and raising $9,000 for Parkinson's Disease
Victoria, BC - On August 5, 2011 at 5:00pm, 70-year-old John Crouch will arrive at the junction of the Galloping Goose and Lochside Trail just before the switchback bridge after completing his 2,517 kilometre cycling journey from Whitehorse to Victoria.

70-year-old man cycles solo from Whitehorse to Victoria for Parkinson's
Vancouver, BC - On July 13, 2011, 70-year-old John Crouch will set out from Whitehorse to cycle 2,350 kilometres back to his home in Victoria. The solo journey will take him a little over three weeks.

April 11 is World Parkinson's Day
Vancouver, BC - World Parkinson's Day is celebrated annually on April 11, Dr. James Parkinson's birthday. The day is dedicated to raising awareness of Parkinson's disease (PD) and how it affects individuals, families and the wider spectrum of the community.

April is Parkinson's Awareness Month.  You Are Not Alone.
Vancouver, BC - April is awareness month for Parkinson's disease and it is recognized internationally to coincide with the birth month of Dr. James Parkinson for whom the disease was named. If you have Parkinson's or know someone who does, you are not alone. This is the message that Parkinson Society British Columbia wants to convey to the 11,000 individuals living with Parkinson's in the province.
