What is PDLink?
PDLink is a new program by Parkinson Society British Columbia to provide support to people with Parkinson's and carepartners who want to connect one-to-one with a person in a situation similar to their own.
Program Goals
PDLink has two main goals:
-
To create a network of people with Parkinson's disease (PD) and carepartners who provide support by phone or by email to others in similar situations.
-
To create a supportive connection for people who would benefit from one-to-one interaction.

Are You Interested in Volunteering?
We are looking for people who are living well with Parkinson's, as well as carepartners, to be volunteers. Please consider the following questions and let us know if you are interested in becoming a PDLink volunteer: 1. Are you willing to provide telephone or email support to a person with PD or to a carepartner?
2. Do you feel you have developed a healthy approach to living with PD or to being a carepartner?
3. Are you comfortable talking openly about PD-related aspects of your situation? |
|
Are You Looking for Additional Support? 1. Are you a person with Parkinson's or a carepartner and feeling isolated?
2. Are you unable to attend a support group meeting?
3. Would you feel more comfortable talking to someone one-to-one than in a group setting?
If you would like to be part of the PDLink program and connect one-to-one with a volunteer, please let us know. A PSBC staff member will be happy to discuss the program with you. People with PD and carepartners are welcome! |
