Our Mission
Parkinson Society British Columbia exists to address the personal and social consequences of Parkinson's disease through advocacy, education, community outreach, scientific research and public awareness.

You Are Not Alone. Parkinson Society British Columbia is here to help people with Parkinson's and the people who care about them.
 
The Society provides information and offers support in many ways, including:
 
PDLink - a peer program connecting individuals with Parkinson's and carepartners on a one-to-one basis for support. CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS
Consultation at the PSBC office or by phone
Viewpoints quarterly newsletter providing up-to-date information on scientific research, medication, caregiving, nutrition and other relevant topics
Annual educational conferences and meetings throughout BC featuring national and international experts in Parkinson's disease research and treatment
Information pamphlets, including Advance Care Planning, Caregiving, PD and the Workplace
Community referrals and resources including health units, in-home safety and mobility assessments, assistive devices, respite care, adult day care, home care, assisted living and residential care
Direct assistance to 50 support group leaders province-wide
Regular personal visits to support groups
Advocacy for improved healthcare and access to medications
Workshops and training for healthcare professionals
