My name is Parsa G. Shiran, and I go by Legacy, The Producer. I’m a senior medical student, and in my spare time I’m a hip-hop and afrobeat producer from Burnaby, Canada.
For my debut musical project, I’ve partnered up with Parkinson Society British Columbia for this music series to raise awareness and proceeds for Parkinson’s Disease, in honour of my grandfather who passed away from Parkinson's Disease. I've decided to partner with PSBC because they're committed to creating and contributing to resources for those who are affected on a grassroots level. All proceeds raised will directly benefit Parkinson Society British Columbia.
As part of this project, I’ll be repurposing a series of mid-2000s Canadian hip-hop classics that I grew up watching on MuchVibe, in collaboration with DJ Kemo of The Rascalz, as I pay tribute to those that led the way in Canadian music culture.
As I embark on my personal musical journey, I want to acknowledge and respect my musical inspirations and those that paved the way for Canadian musicians like myself.
