Improv for Parkinson's Fall Series

In partnership with Tightrope Improv Theatre, Parkinson Society BC is excited to announce three new improvisation programs for people with Parkinson’s. No matter your experience or skill level, there are classes for everyone!

Sessions will include exercises to help foster skills for listening, spontaneity, teamwork, and being in the present moment. This program aims to help participants overcome the barriers of anxiety, fear, and overthinking by teaching skills to help let go of expectations to be able to live in the moment. Through improv games, participants will improve their communication abilities and their creativity and confidence while also being encouraged to discover the joys in collaborating with others.

Each series includes 8 weeks of classes held via Zoom video conferencing. A valid internet connection is required to participate. Digital handouts and homework will be provided after each session.

Parkinson Society British Columbia endeavours to make attendance at educational events accessible to all who may benefit. The Society may be able to subsidize attendance fees for those who require financial assistance. Please contact us for more details.
