Deep Brain Stimulation: Surgical Therapy for Parkinson's Disease
Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) is a surgical intervention used to treat disabling motor symptoms related to Parkinson's disease.
In this webinar, Nancy Polyhronopoulos, Registered Nurse, DBS Clinic at Vancouver General Hospital, will examine how DBS works to help reduce certain symptoms and effects of Parkinson's. She will also discuss what patients can expect before and after DBS surgery.
