Spinning Wheels Banner

In its inaugural year, the Spinning Wheels Tour aims to spread awareness and raise funds for those affected by Parkinson's disease. Starting June 2022, riders will cross the big, beautiful country by bicycle to meet as many of these people as possible to personally deliver this message: "Get moving to stay moving."

Starting in Victoria, British Columbia, on June 25th, their route is approximately 8,000 km long, expecting to average 125 km a day, six days a week, for three months! The Spinning Wheels Tour team will include two riders with Parkinson's disease, as well as two ride-along supporters to keep things moving. Along the way, they will be meeting with people whose lives are touched by Parkinson's.

The riders in this event are not athletes, just people with the resolve to do what it takes to live well with this disease, and to encourage others to do the same!

Their message is simple, and they hope to hear the echo of these words from passersby:"If they can do it, I can too."
